2017 – what a busy year and successful year!
It’s been a busy year at Sundance Music Studio! Congratulations to my students for their achievements!
- Suzuki Guitar students played with other CSSA (Calgary Suzuki Strings Association ) students at the annual CSSA Suzuki Play-In held 24th.September 2016 at Heritage Park.
- Piano, Guitar, and Flute students performed at two very fun and successful studio recitals.
- Suzuki students learned more about the Baroque Period and had an opportunity to play Baroque Guitars and Lute at the CSSA Winter Workshop Feb.25th 2017.
- Suzuki Guitar students performed at the CSSA Suzuki String festival May 5/6 in Solo, Trio, Quartet,and ensembles classes. Students in the CSSA String Workshop worked with Adjudicator Paul Madryga and composer and conductor Damian Jordan playing in a large Guitar Ensemble performing Spanish Rondo composed by Myself Mandy Loban- Jordan and Damian Jordan and a piece for strings with classical guitar called Canada 150 by David Jones.
- Students performed and competed in the Calgary Performing Arts Festival. Congratulations to Kailynn F. for receiving a gold First Place Certificate and a red Second Place Certificate in solo classes, Jacob L. for receiving four First Place Gold certificates in three solo classes and ensemble, the Trio – Kailynn F.,Amisha M.,and Lucianna L.- for receiving First Place Gold and the Duo – Lucianna L. and Kailynn F. – for receiving First Place Gold.
- Some Piano, Guitar, and Flute students recently took their RCM ( Royal conservatory of music ) examinations. Well done everyone with all your hard work for these exams.
- Students also performed in family and school events. Great playing everyone!
